Spanning over two thousand years, the exhibition traces the powerful symbolism of the rose across religion, genre painting, fashion and contemporary art. Highlights include classical sculpture, fine ceramics, still life, and contemporary design—from gods to Barbie.
Part of Carrick Hill’s Rose Season this spring, the exhibition will be accompanied by rose-themed tours, talks, workshops, and the launch of new publication, Potpourri for Rose Lovers and Gardeners by Trevor Nottle, celebrating rose growing in Australia.
The full program will be launched soon.
