About Paul Flavel
Paul Flavel grew up in the Adelaide Hills and credits the 'trips into town' with his parents and Grandma in the 1990s where he fell in love with retail.
Despite his Grandma being a David Jones devotee, Paul fell in love with John Martin's and the lift ladies. Like most South Australians, he was devastated when the store closed.
Since 2009, Paul has called Melbourne home and has built a career in HR (mostly in retail).
Paul always longed to tell the story of John Martin's and this is his first book.
