Beginningwith the fateful night Lloyd Leah became the sole survivor when his Lancasterplane was shot down in Germany’s heartland and following 8 months ofincarceration in a POW in Germany, then, at the end of the war, he began adesperate mission to find a way back to England for medical treatment.
Growingup, Nick Smyth developed an interest in Australian Military History and wasable to visit Gallipoli for the first time in 1987. Subsequently he has visitedthe Western Front on two occasions, Gallipoli again, trekked Kokoda and morerecently, he liaised with ex-Lancaster Navigator, Lloyd Leah to present hisstory.
