Like many avid collectors, the Haywards acquired various works depicting the nude form. From the sensual and beautiful, to the lewd and rude, this exhibition shines a spotlight on representations of the bare form in our collection.
Featuring works from artists such as Sir Jacob Epstein, Alistair Smart, René Lalique, Augustus John and Sir Ivor Hele, this installation allows us to consider how interpretations of the human figure developed over the early-mid twentieth century.
